Separation can be stressful for children as well as parents. I am here to help with this sometimes difficult, but very common, developmental process. Sometimes children are upset during the first few weeks, and some don't express anxiety until a few weeks later when they feel comfortable enough to do so. This is understandable since they are in a new situation with someone they don't yet know. It takes time to develop bonds and relationships. I will comfort and reassure your child and when s/he has settled in I will phone you to update and reassure you. It is helpful for caregivers to acknowledge and talk with the child about his/her feelings and I will need you to do the same. Children are very sensitive to the feelings of their parents, so if you don't feel comfortable about leaving your child with me your child won't feel good about it either. Please talk about your child's experience in a positive way. After you say your good byes make your departure definite. Lingering can make the child unsure of what is expected of him/her. It is helpful for parents to develop a routine that the child can count on and learn that you will come back when you say you will. Together we will work through this developmental process. It is typical for children to resume their daily routine very shortly after their mom or dad leaves.
Parent Visits
Parents are welcome any time during the day. It can be difficult for children to separate a second time during the day, so if you plan to come home during the day please let me know so that I can help prepare your child for the transition.
Welcome to Nanny Judy's
Welcome to Nanny Judy's. A Place to Communicate with the Families in my Care.
I believe quality childcare makes a difference in the lives of children and their families. I hope to be a good support for working parents. Working in partnership with parents ensures that the needs of the family are met and promotes a sound foundation for children.
There are so many benefits to children being cared for at home. Home is warm and secure; the ideal setting for children to learn and grow. I strive to provide a nurturing and encouraging environment, with age appropriate activities and opportunities to explore. Each child will be cared for according to their individual needs. I believe children who are loved and cared for will in turn learn to love and care for others.

About Me
- Judy
- I am a Licensed Early Childhood Educator and Professional Ballet Teacher. Over the past 20 years I have taught preschool, daycare, managed my own LNR Family Daycare, and worked in private homes as a Nanny. My newest adventure is opening a Licensed In-Home Multi-Age Childcare. I have now opened Judy's Little Gems. Having a Licensed Childcare Facility in my home is so rewarding. Each day is brand new and exciting for both myself and the children! The word Nanny is very special to me. My British grandmother asked her grandchildren to call her Nanny. I hope to build great memories and relationships with children and families in my role as Nanny; just as my grandmother did.
